The National Office of Buddhism has cooperated with Dhammakaya Temple
To promote the Mass Ordination Project
Free Ordination for keeping the Good Ordination Culture of Thailand
 
 The press conference of the 100,000-Monk Ordination Project 2012

On Tuesday February 7th, 2012, National Office of Buddhism gave information in the press conference about the 100,000-Monk Ordination Project 2012 at Benchachinda Building on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road that this project has been arranged by the cooperation of National Office of Buddhism, the monks across Thailand, The Committee on Religion, Art, and Culture, the House of Parliament; Dhammakaya Temple and Foundation; The Village Leader Association of Thailand; The International Buddhist Society Club under the patronage of Somdejphramaharajmangalajarn (IBS) and other Associate Organizations.  The schedule is March 22nd – May 13th, 2012 at the district training temples across Thailand.  The objectives of this project are to spread the Lord Buddha’s Dhamma Flow over Thailand, to worship the Lord Buddha, to keep the Buddhism and to support the qualified candidates to study Dhamma and practice by the Lord Buddha’s ways which they can apply Dhamma in their daily lives later.

Qualifications
1.    Real men (not allow for homosexual ones), 20 – 50 years old
2.    Graduated M.3 (or grade 9) or higher
3.    Be healthy and not sick of the psychosis or dangerous diseases such as the infective diseases, AIDS, etc. and be not addicted to the tobacco, alcohol and all kinds of drugs.
4.    Be not disabled such as blind, deaf, amputee etc.
5.    Don’t have the big tattoo or the inappropriate tattoo outside the saffron robe (when he is wearing)

The Mass Ordination Project has been arranged since 2010 and there are a lot of men interested to be ordained in this project every time.  Moreover, this ordination is free of charge.
