1. Principle and reasons
In 2012, monks across Thailand, the Committee on Religion, Art, and Culture of the House of Representatives cooperated with Buddhist organizations, governmental and private sectors, and associate organizations, over 40 total organizations, to arrange the Dhammachai Dhutanga during January 2nd - 27th, 2012 in six provinces which were Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, and Bangkok. The Dhammachai Dhutanga was arranged again to invite the golden statue of the Most Ven. Phramongkolthepmuni (Sod Candasaro) during April 2nd - 6th, 2012. These were to worship the Lord Buddha, celebrate the 2,600th Anniversary of the Enlightenment of the Lord Buddha, relieve people's mind, and make the big merit to Thailand. The responses were very good.
The organizers agree to arrange the 2013 Dhammachai Dhutanga during January 2nd - 27th, 2013 and there are 1,128 monks participating in. Students and people will welcome the Dhutanga monks and practice meditation. This will wake the morality trend, remove dangers and obstacles, bring the good fortune, restore and relieve people's spirit and morale including to cultivate the students and people to do the social activity that enhance their spirit and mind by morality and restore the Buddhist Cultures to homes, temples, and schools sustainably. They will be cultivated to be humble by Dhamma "Apacāyanamaya" of the Lord Buddha. This will make Thai societies peaceful by His Dhamma Power.
2. Objectives2.1 To worship the Lord Buddha and celebrate the 2,600th Anniversary of His Enlightenment
2.2 To cultivate the moral youth models to have strong basic morality and be the real Buddhists. Then, developing further to build the moral youth leader groups/networks and dedicating this merit to H.M. King Bhumibol and worship the Lord Buddha.
2.3 To strengthen the morality for all levels of "home-temple-school" networks in the societies nationwide
2.4 To restore Buddhist Cultures to Thai societies as Thailand has been accepted to be the "World Buddhism Center"
2.5 To wake the morality trend, strengthen people's spirit and mind, and bring them the good fortune

3. Goals
3.1 Amount - 1,128 Dhutanga monks
- About 40% of local students and people join in this activity
- About 40% of local students and people join in this activity
3.2 Performance - Establish the moral youth leader groups cooperate with their communities to do at least two moral activities. Temples develop morality with schools at least one temple per school.

7.1 Establish the participatory project between the governmental and private sectors
7.2 Coordinate this project with the responsible areas and the concerning organizations to prepare staffs, places, and budgets according to the monastic conditions, and to promote this project to the public.
7.3 Run this project according to the objectives
7.4 Meditate and welcome the Dhutanga monks along the ways

11. Expectations
11.1 Thai people will make the big merit together and realize their Buddhist duties. This will make the good image for the country, make the seers faithful, and the World Morality will be restored.
11.2 The moral youth leader networks will be established and there will be a lot of moral youth leaders who have the strong basic morality and are the real Buddhists.
11.3 The "home-temple-school" networks will be established in all societies and the morality will be strengthened.
11.4 Educational organizations and institutes will be more powerful to drive moral works continuously and explicitly.
11.5 Buddhist Culture will be restored to Thai societies and the moral standard of Thai youths, foreign youths, and the world will be raised.
11.6 People will have morality in their mind and this will bring the good fortune and encourage them to do good deeds for themselves and the nation.
