The Best Friend’s House Project to Change the World

Principle and reason
The way to develop Thai social sustainably along with morality depends on the Buddhist Communities. The current development is based on three main organizations which are houses, temples and schools. Three main organizations are the important engines for everyone in the country. If they can apply Dhamma of the Lord Buddha to be their practical principal and live with morality, the peace and harmony will be happened in Thailand.

The morality cultivation has to start at your self and expand to others around you such as your family, social and the country. If it has been supported from all sections, the morality drive will be easy to cultivate in people’s minds. In the era of technology, everybody can study Dhamma without going to the temple. The monks can disseminate Dhamma to many organizations such as houses, the smallest organization, the academic institutes, companies, stores, and private and public sections by using the communication technology. The picture and sound media are very effective in the morality cultivation to the people in the nation.

From the 100,000-Monk Mass Ordination during the Buddhist Lent Project which is one of the historic events and the 1,000,000-Laywoman Mass Training Project which is carrying on, these two projects are the motivation to wake Thai people wanting to study Dhamma and meditate. However, they have a little free time after work; the “Best Friend’s House Project to Change the World” is established to respond to the suitable time and Dhamma teaching way by using the image and sound technologies.

“The Best Friend’s House Project to Change the World” will arrange many activities which are chanting, mediating, listening Dhamma at any houses, temples, schools, companies, and government offices who are interested to join this project. This is to cultivate the morality to all levels of people to have the Right View, be in harmony and have Dhamma in their mind.

The objectives of this project
1.    To restore morality and strengthen the Buddhist to have single mind, love, be in harmony and kind.
2.    To disseminate Dhamma of the Lord Buddha into all levels of people’s hearts.
3.    To expand goodness to all levels and kinds of societies, all genders and ages by chanting and meditating at the suitable time.

The Best Friend’s House Project has classified into four categories which are
1.    The Leader of Best Friend’s House
2.    The Leader of Best Friend’s House Group
3.    The Leader of Meditation Center
4.    The Participant

1.    The Leader of Best Friend’s House
Requirements

- Invite and persuade at least 10 participants
- Chant and mediate at house once a week for 12 total times
- Bring at least 10 people to meditate at Dhammakaya Temple on Sunday once a month for 3 months

If you, the Leader of Best Friend’s House, is qualified, you will get
- The Certificate of “The Founder of Best Friend’s House in the Change the World generation”
- The “Leader of Best Friend’s House” batch of the small Buddha image

2. The Leader of Best Friend’s House Group
Requirement

- Persuade, Promote, introduce and coordinate to open 5 Best Friend’s Houses
- Visit 5 Best Friend’s Houses once a month for consecutively 3 months
- Keep your status of the “Leader of the Best Friend’s House Group”

If you, the Leader of Best Friend’s House Group, is qualified, you will get
- The Certificate of “The Founder of Best Friend’s House Group in the Change the World generation”
- The “Leader of Best Friend’s House Group” batch of the small Buddha image.

3. The Leader of Meditation Center
Requirement

- Invite and persuade at least 50 participants
- Chant and mediate at the center once a week for 12 total times
- Bring at least 50 people to meditate at Dhammakaya Temple on Sunday once a month for 3 months

If you, the Leader of Meditation Center, is qualified, you will get
- The Certificate of “The Founder of Meditation Center in the Change the World generation”
- The “Leader of Meditation Center” batch of the small Buddha image

4. The Participant
Requirement

- Chant and mediate at the center once a week for 12 total times
- Go to meditate at Dhammakaya Temple on Sunday once a month for 3 total times

If you, the participant, is qualified, you will get
- The Certificate from Dhammakaya Temple
- The “Conquering Mara – Golden Success” batch of the small Buddha image

You can submit your application from December 22nd, 2010 on.

The schedule
- This project will begin on January 10th, 2011
- All except the participants have to conclude their work on May 1st, 2011
- The participants have not to conclude their work. If they come to chant once a week for 12 total times and go to Dhammakaya Temple once a month for 3 total times, they will be qualified and still have the right to get the certificate and the small Buddha image.
