A Novice of Norkaew Parian Dham Batch 1
Compiled from the Inner Dreams Kindergarten Program broadcasted on DMC

I pay the highest respect to Luang Phaw

I am Novice Thawan Buddharaksa, 12 years old.  I am a student who is in Norkaew Parian Dham Batch 1.  I am a half-blood Thai Greek, but my nationality is Australian because I was born in Australia. After my mother gave birth me, she brought me to Thailand.

I went to Dhammakaya Temple in the first time when I was 7 years old. I just joined the Super Kids Camp only and after that I did not go to the temple for a long time because my mother passed away when I studied Prathom 1 (or Grade 1), my grandpa and grandma brought me to live in Phayao province.  Fortunately, my grandpa’s house is near a temple, so I usually went to that temple.  The abbot of that temple is very kind and he gave some sweets to me many times.  Because of going to the temple frequently, I liked and bounded with that temple very much. I used to tell my grandpa “When I grow up, I will be ordained.” My grandpa laughed happily.

When I finished Prathom 3 (or Grade 3), my aunt brought me to live with my adoptive parents who are the parents of my aunt’s friend in Chiang Mai province.  They love me like their real child and I love them like my real parents too.  They also give me the best thing that is Dhammakaya Temple.  Now I go to the temple every First Sunday of the month and am a volunteer of Kaew Thawan section because my brother monk who is my adoptive parents’ son is the teaching monk in this section.

When I had finished Prathom 4 (or Grade 4), I was ordained at Lanna Dhutanga Place.  When I had finished Prathom 5 (or Grade 5), I was ordained again.  Um…that is I was ordained as a novice every summer vacation.  At that time, I experienced the Power of Luang Pu as well.  One day, I chanted and then meditated.  When the meditation session ended, I looked at the statue of Luang Pu and suddenly, I saw the statue smiling at me.  Oh!...I saw it with my plain eyes.  I was stunted and had no idea how the statue of Luang Pu smiled. However, it has made me happy since that time on.

After my second disrobing, I told my adoptive parents that I wanted to be ordained as a novice when I finished Prathom 6.  Even though my adoptive parents told me that they wanted me to get the Bachelor’s degree first, I asked them that I really wanted to be ordained and finally, they allowed me to do.

Now I already finished Prathom 6 and Luang Phaw launched the new project “Norkaew Parian Dham Batch 1” for students who finished Prathom 6 to enroll and be ordained as novices to study Pali.  I am very happy to participate in this project. The teaching monks told us that Luang Phaw wanted all novices to be ordained both inner and outer, so I intend to meditate a lot and often because I want to do so.

In the first meditation time, I did not see anything, but when I sat for a while, I saw a light shining at my face. It was very bright so that I startled and opened my eyes but I saw no one kidding me. I continued meditation and then I saw a crystal ball floating around my face.  In the next meditation session, I saw six crystal balls shining and floating.  Then, they combined and turned to be a Buddha Image sitting opposite me. I had looked the Image for a while, the Image appeared inside me and turned its face as same as me.  When the teaching monk told us  to look at the center of the Buddha Image, I did so and then I felt like I was falling from the cliff.  When I fell to the head of the first Buddha Image, the second Buddha Image emerged from the center of the first one. When the second Buddha Image expanded, I saw another Buddha Images emerging continuously.  I felt very happy and could not express in words.

I would like to thank Luang Phaw for this project. I intend to graduate Pali IX and will be a Royal Ordinand who makes you proud.

I would like to persuade all friends who finished grade 6 to study Pali together and keep our Buddhism bright forever.
