The Summer Mass Ordination brings a big merit to you
Repay your parents’ kindness – Practice to be the real monk – Worship the Lord Buddha
The good chance for all real men…you can ordain to repay your parents’ kindness in this summer at Khao Kaew Sadej Education Center in Prachinburi province.
Ordination is the way to make your life valuable. It can help you to solve your problems in life and is also the best way to repay your parents’ kindness and others who helped you. This ordination will spend only 7 weeks but it will be one of the most valuable times in your life because of your precepts, meditation and knowledge. There are the teaching monks to look after and give the advice to you continuously. So you can cultivate yourself to be the real monk according to the Lord Buddha’s wills. The trainees will keep the 8 precepts, practice the Buddhist pilgrimage and meditate for 2 weeks, the preparation time, before the ordination ceremony. After they ordain, they will learn Dhamma and how to apply Dhamma in daily life. They will also learn the right way to meditate from the teaching monks who will look after closely through this project.
Requirements
1. An application form (already filled and legible)
2. One 1-inch photo without wearing hat or black eyeglasses and taken within six months
3. A copy of the applicant’s ID Card and a copy of the guarantor’s ID Card
4. A copy of the applicant’s House Registration and a copy of the guarantor’s House Registration
5. A copy set of the applicant’s Educational Certificate(s)
6. A medical certificate and the permission signature of the applicant’s parents
Preparation Checklist
1. Two white suits (or more)
2. Personal things – bath bowl, soap, toothpaste, shaver, etc
3. A bath towel (or more)
4. Personal medicines
Qualifications
1. Real men (not allow for homosexual ones), graduated from high school or higher, 20-50 years old
2. Have the parents’ permission (signature) and a guarantor
3. Not addicted to the tobacco, alcohol and all kinds of drugs
4. Not sick of the dangerous diseases such as the infective diseases, AIDS, etc.
5. Not be accused or in the prosecution of any case
6. Able to be trained through the project
7. Must pass the interview and the Ordination Request Speech from the Selection Committee in the interview day
8. Be healthy and not disabled. Have the good personality
Schedule
The training: March 13th, 2011 – April 30th, 2011
The temple entrance day: Sunday March 13th, 2011 at 9.00 a.m.
The Novice Ordination Day: Tuesday March 29th, 2011
The Monk Ordination Day: Wednesday March 30th, 2011 – Friday April 1st, 2011
The Final Day: April 30th, 2011
How to apply
1. Apply at Post M7, the location of the booth of the Most Ven. Phrarajbhavanavisudh’s Dhammadayada Training Center) in the International Dhammakaya Meditation Hall, Dhammakaya Temple during 12.30 – 16.00 p.m.
2. Apply at Khao Kaew Sadej Education Center, Banna sub-district, Kabinburi district, Prachinburi province (go from the Kabinburi district to Srakaew province about 15 kilometers)
