Please come together to make the Kathina merit with 115 temples in Thailand and oversea to celebrate the 2,600th Anniversary of the Enlightenment of the Lord Buddha.
The Kathina Ceremony is a special merit because it is more difficult to do than other ones. It has more restrictions such as it must been done within one month after the Final of the Buddhist Lent. It is also a kind of Sangha Dana – the donors offer their donations to monks unparticular. So, this merit yields a large amount of fruit. Because of its great fruit, Buddhists prefer to make the Kathina merit at temples until it becomes a culture nowadays. Other than accumulating a big merit for ourselves, we also strengthen the stability of Buddhism.
This ceremony in this year has been arranged during October 31st to November 28th, 2012. We would like to invite you to make this merit with 115 temples and meditation centers around the world to celebrate the 2,600th Anniversary of the Enlightenment of the Lord Buddha together.
Your donation will be very special because if you go to join the ceremony in the only one temple but you will get the merit like you do it with 115 temples at the same time. So your merit will be double or more. The most important is the ceremony in this time will support and benefit Buddhism enormously.
