Last time we talked about "The Lord Buddha's searching the way out of suffering". And today the topic is about "The Buddha's enlightenment".
ตอนที่แล้วเราพูดเกียวกับการแสวงหาทางแห่งการพ้นทุกข์ของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า สำหรับวันนี้เราจะมาต่อกันที่เรื่องของการตรัสรู้ธรรมของท่านกันค่ะ
On the day of our Bodhisatta's self-enlightenment, a woman by the name of Sujada offered a very special rice dish "Matupayas' to him in the morning.
ในวันที่พระบรมโพธิสัตว์ของเราได้ตรัสรู้ธรรม"นางสุชาดา" ได้นำข้าวมธุปายาสซึ่งเป็นอาหารที่พิเศษมาก มาถวายแด่พระองค์ในตอนเช้า

Self-enlightenment แปลว่า การตรัสรู้ด้วยตนเอง
That evening, he received bunches of fresh grass from the man "Sotthiya" and arranged them under the great Bodhi Tree.
ในเย็นวันนั้นเอง ท่านได้รับพุ่มหญ้าสดจาก "นายโสตถิยะ" ท่านจึงได้นำมาปูลาดเป็นอาสนะใต้ต้นพระศรีมหาโพธิ์
Bunch แปลว่า มัด, ช่อ
He subsequently vowed. "My flesh and blood can dry up leaving only skin, tendons, and bones. As long as I do not attain Enlightenment, I will not leave this seat."
พระองค์จึงได้กล่าวคำสัตย์ปฏิญาณว่า "แม้เลือดเนื้อจะแห้งเหือดหายไปเหลือเพียงเอ็นหนังหุ้มกระดูกก็ตามทีตราบใดที่ยังไม่บรรลุธรรม เราจะไม่ลุกจากที่แห่งนี้"
Vow แปลว่า ปฏิญาณ, สาบาน
Our Bodhisatta subsequently sat down to practice "The Middle Way" Meditation, a practice which was not too taut or too lax.
พระบรมโพธิสัตว์จึงได้นั่งลงแล้วปฏิบัติสมาธิตามเส้นทางสายกลางคือ ไม่ตึงเกินไป และไม่หย่อนจนเกินไป

At that time, Phya Mara knew Bodhisatta's intention, he mobilized his army in an effort to obstruct our Bodhisatta's attainment of Enlightenment.
ในเวลานั้นเอง พญามารล่วงรู้ความตั้งใจของพระบรมโพธิสัตว์ จึงได้เคลื่อนกองทัพออกมา เพื่อพยายามขัดขวางการบรรลุธรรมของพระองค์
Mobilize แปลว่า ระดมพล, เคลื่อนพล
Obstruct แปลว่า ขัดขวาง
Attainment แปลว่า การบรรลุผล, ความสำเร็จ

The Mara Celestial Being rode the elephant "Girimekhla" which stood 2,400 1kilometers tall. He created 1,000 arms where each hand had carried a different kind of weapons.
เทวบุตรมารได้ขี่ช้าง "คีรีเมฆ" ซื้งสูงถึง 2,400 กิโลเมตร แล้วก็ได้เสกแขนขึ้นมาถึง 1,000 แขน และในแต่ละมือนั้นได้ถือศาตราวุธต่างๆ กัน
Celestial แปลว่า สวรรค์
Weapon แปลว่า อาวุธ
These mara beings possessed grotesque forms and they converged upon our Bodhisatta from the four cardinal points.
มารทั้งหลายนี้มีรูปร่างที่แปลกประหลาดและลอยมุ่งหน้าอยู่เหนือพระบรมโพธิสัตว์ จากทิศทั้ง 4
Grotesque แปลว่า พิศดาร, แปลกประหลาด
Converge แปลว่า มุ่งไปยัง
Cardinal Point แปลว่า ทิศทั้ง 4 ทิศ (เหนือ ใต้ ตะวันออก และตะวันตก)
However, he remained unperturbed and recalled instead the perfections which he had pursued for 20 Asankheyyas and 100,000 Kappas. This caused the Mara army to retreat. This encounter shows that our Bodhisatta had overcome Mara even before he attained the Enlightenment.

Overcome แปลว่า เอาชนะ
After that, he practiced meditation by keeping his mind completely still at the center of his body. This practice ultimately led him to discover the rea; "Middle Way" from within.
หลังจากนั้น ท่านได้ปฏิบัติธรรมต่อไปโดยรักษาใจของท่านให้นิ่ง แน่วแน่ มั่นคงที่ศูนย์กลางกาย การปฏิบัติธรรมเช่นนี้ในท้ายที่สุดแล้วท่านจึงได้ค้นพบทางสายกลางที่แท้จริงจากภายใน
The Bodhisatta eventually became self-enlightened as the lord Buddha at the dawn on the morning of the 15th day of the 6th waxing moon when he was 35 years old.
ในที่สุดพระบรมโพธิสัตว์จึงตรัสรู้ชอบได้ด้วยพระองค์เองเป็นพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ในช่วงรุ่งอรุณของวันขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 6 ในขณะที่พระองค์อายุได้ 35 ชันษา
Dawn แปลว่า รุ่งสาง, รุ่งอรุณ
waxing Moon แปลว่า ข้างขึ้น
The Lord Buddha's enlightenment is really hard. He had to pursue perfection completely which took a very long time. And in this life, he dedicated his worldly perfect life to search for the truth of life and the way out of Samsara. Now, his teachings still remain in this world, everyone should study to make their life better.
การบรรลุธรรมของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้านั้นยากมาก ท่านต้องสร้างบารมีจนเต็มเปี่ยม ซึ่งต้องใช้เวลายาวนานมาก และในชาตินี้ท่านยังได้อุทิศชีวิตที่สมบูรณ์แบบ ของท่านในทางโลกเพื่อที่จะค้นหาความจริงของชีวิตและหนทางออกจากสังสารวัฏ ซึ่งขณะนี้คำสอนของท่านยังคงมีอยู่ในโลกใบนี้ทุกๆ คนควรจะศึกษาเพื่อทำให้ชีวิ ของเราดีขึ้น
