Wat Phra Dhammakaya Chicago arranged the Sunday Ceremonies
On March 23rd, 2014, Wat Phra Dhammakaya Chicago in the USA arranged the Sunday Ceremonies and had a meeting for preparing Songkarn Festival 2014.
In the event, the teaching monk led all laity to meditate to purify their action, speech and mind for the coming merit. After that they requested the 5 precepts and said the speech of offering gold to cast the 2nd Gold Image of the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong – Ms. Mitrapee and Mr. Somkid Pipatphalarak were the President who led the others to say these speeches. For the Ceremony of Offering Meals to the Monks, Mr. Mit and Ms. Sriporn Kewell were the laypeople’s representatives to lead the other to say the offering speech. Then, they performed the Morning Alms Round and offered meals to the monks together.

In the afternoon, the teaching monk brought the congregation to attend the meeting to prepare Songkarn Festival which is being arranged on Sunday April 6th, 2014. After that, Phrakrusamu Somboon Punyakaro, the Abbot of Centre Meditation Dhammakaya de Montreal in Canada, kindly taught them Dhamma as their guideline for the right behavior. The ceremonies in that day impressed all participants very much.
