Holiday Meditation, New Jersey
Saturday December 12th, 2015, Dhammakaya International Meditation Center of New Jersey (D.I.M.C.N.J) arranged a Holiday Meditation by inviting locals who joined the meditation class to light Harmony candles together. There were 23 locals participating in this event, and two of them were newcomers.
First the monks arrived at the center of the ceremony, and the monastic president led the congregation to worship the Triple Gem and guided an English meditation for about 20 minutes. After that, the monastic president lit the First Candle and shared the flame with the congregation. Then they focused their minds at the center of the bodies for a while before placing the candle cups at the ceremonial center together. When the activities were over, they took historic photos together.
