The World Meditation Day

The Important Buddhist Day of Pursuing Perfection

The World Meditation Day has been appointed because of the historic tragedy.  On August 6th, 1945, the United States conducted the atomic bombing against the city of Hiroshima in Japan.  The acute effects killed over 200,000 people.  From this event the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY) reached the conclusion and has appointed the World Meditation Day on August 6th every year.  This is to encourage the human to make peace by the non–violent ways and make a campaign to turn them to acknowledge the importance of meditation as the best way to make peace in their mind and live together peacefully in the world.
