Making Merit For Someone
Before/After His Death

Question from the audiences:

If I make merit to build the Buddha image for my parents before they will pass away, it will be different from doing after they passed away, is it correct and how does it differ?

Answer:
The merit of building the Buddha image before your parents will pass away is more than the merit of doing after they passed away because they can know and rejoice in your merit with their physical body.  If your parents alive, you should persuade them to make merit by themselves.
