The 2nd Japanese Dhammadayada Ordination Project

During August 6th – 29th, 2010 at Dhammakaya temple

In 2009, there were 24 Japanese guys ordained to be the Theravada monks in Thailand where is known that the Buddhist doctrines in this land are the most similarly to the ones in the Buddha’s time.

These Japanese ordained for many reasons, example, he ordained for his mother, he would like to meditate, he was interested in the monk’s activities such as walking and receiving the morning alms, he would like to relieve his troubles from losing his beloved ones, he were searching the important things in his life or he would like to do the actual practice, not in the lecture, etc.

From many reasons above but they had the same goal that is they would like to seek the true peace.  And now the first Japanese Dhammadayada (ordinants) have unveiled the real peace they had got during the project and become the spokesmen for the Buddhism by telling their friends in Japan about the way to reach the real peace.  This results in the amount of the Japanese ordinands rising to over 70 persons.  It can count to be one of the most important steps of the Expansion of Buddhism in Japan.
