Studying at DOU University is worthy

I pay the highest respect to the Most Venerable Luang Phaw Dhammajayo

My name is Saijai Walee. I used to be a singer in the celebrity industry. Currently, I work as a MC for the DMC channel for many T.V. programs such as “You design your own life,” “Wat’s phrases,” and “A Path toward Merit.” Moreover, I will do all types of works that Luang Phaw and our group has given for me to do because they are all types of merits. When I first came to work as a MC, I was very excited because I have not worked as an MC before and felt that working as an MC was harder than singing a song. However, I have tried my best and I’m not afraid of hard work. I now pay the highest respect to the Most Venerable Luang Phaw Dhammajayo and thanking him for giving me a chance to work as a MC and receive all kinds of merits in every works that I do.

The Most Ven. Luang Phaw Dattajivo

There was one time I also have a chance to pay respect to the Most Ven. Luang Phaw Dattajivo and tell him about my job as a MC. I felt that I was unskilled and was afraid that I will embarrass the Wat worldwide due to my lack of experience working as a MC. However, Luang Phaw Dattajivo was felt sorry for me and told me in a loud voice that I should go to study at DOU University. After I listened to him, I thought to myself, “Whatever he told me, I shall follow his advice.” So I went to register for the courses taught at Dhammakaya California University. After I had studied at DOU, I realized that it was really worth it and that receiving a university degree in Dhamma studies is also worth more than receiving a university degree in normal civilians’ studies. The more I studied at DOU, the more knowledge I received from Buddhism. Thus, I become more proud and gain much more confidence in working as an MC for the DMC channel.

Today, I would like to give some examples of 3–4 excellent subjects that students of Inner Dreams Kindergarten School should hear so that they should come to register for the courses such as the Meditation subject. This subject is the best of all because it teaches us to meditate from the beginner level to the advance level until attaining Dhammakaya. Moreover, it is a subject that keeps us routinely practicing meditation every day. Moreover this course also requires writing down our meditation progress into the diary daily, which causes us to love meditating even further. In addition, this also causes us our mediation progress to improve steadily. This is because in the past when I meditated, my meditation progress would halt when I reached the point where it felt like falling from a roller coaster, which was very scary. Sometimes, it felt like falling from the tunnel at a very fast pace, which caused me to open my eyes. But after studying at DOU University, I learnt many new ways to overcome my fear. Nowadays, I can meditate at ease and comfortably with happiness.

In addition, there are other subjects like “The Law of Karma,” and “Realms after death.” These two subjects have caused me to stop doubting that, “After death, where does one go?” Moreover, it has taught me to love making merit, and to be afraid of making sin. Furthermore, it has taught me about how to prepare myself before departing from this world. There are also subjects about the Great Masters, where we have the chance to learn about their biography, Wat’s regulations, and finally, determination and wishes of our Great Masters. Our Great Masters consist of the Most Ven. Phramongkolthepmuni (Sod Chandasaro), the founder of Dhammakaya Vijja and the Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong, the founder of Wat Phra Dhammakaya. After studying DOU, it will cause us to have great encouragement and courage from within toward merit making. Furthermore, we can use our Great Masters’ values to become our role models toward merit making and improving ourselves. In my opinion, Dhamma studies are the top of all worldwide studies.

After hearing my story, please don’t forget to register for Dhamma studies at DOU. Wherever you are, from any corners of the earth, you can now learn Dhamma studies. Every subject from DOU University is very good. The more you learn, the brighter your mind will be. From the year 2008-2011, I studied at DOU and just graduated this year.
The most important event that I have experienced in my life is receiving a Dhamma degree from Luang Phaw Dhammajayo. This is considered as the greatest event in the history of my life that I will never forget. Finally, I wish that Luang Phaw Dhammajayo will stay strong like when he was 20 years old and live a long life, so we can continue to admire Luang Phaw Dhammajayo. I greatly respect and love Luang Phaw Dhammajayo.
