Phramongkolthepmuni (Sod Chandasaro)’s 127th Birthday Anniversary is on Monday October 10th, 2011 and is an amazing day.

Phramongkolthepmuni’s previous name was Sod Meekaewnoi.  He was born on Friday October 10th, 1884 or the 6th waning moon day of the 11th lunar month in the year of monkey at the North Village (or Moo Ban Nue in Thai) located opposite Song Phi Nong Temple in Song Phi Nong sub–district, Song Phi Nong district, Suphanburi province.  His father’s name was Mr. Ngern Meekaewnoi and his mother’s name was Mrs. Soodchai Meekaewnoi.  He had studied with a monk who was his uncle at Song Phi Nong Temple before continued studying at Bang Pla Temple in Banglane district, Nakhorn Pathom province.  He studied Khmer and was good at it enough to read the Malai Book which was all written in Khmer.  After that, he became a rice merchant working for his parents.
